I am recently diagnosed as well. I am realizing that nothing 'suddenly goes away'. Everything is a chapter in a book. Finish reading the book on your ex and close it. Open a new book for yourself and kids.
So far my worst enemy is myself - criticizing myself for every little wrong thing. If only I can get past that...
Things that have helped me this week are -
1. meditation (concentrating only on the breath coming in and out of my body, if a thought comes into my head I let it and then drop it)
2. exercise
3. coffee and lunchs with friends
4. booking time with friends for next week so I have something to look forward to
5. taking time off work (haven't had a break from work since Aug and my separation from Dh happened in Nov)
6. hugging my kids
Here is a hug for you as I know how important hugs are for me right now...
