Remembering is individual...sometimes we do not want to remember and block out things...sometimes we are so 'over stimulated' by the moment, that once gone, we do not remember...or it seems like a far away dream.
I remember being VERY depressed...not suicidal, but, I didn't like me or my life, my spouse...I would cry and cry...when my blood sugar level got low, and I was depressed, and I was in pain, wow, it was a way bad combination. I remember, but, I do not want to. I did not feel at all in control, of body, mind, anything.
I have also beein depressed and suicidal...but, still in control. So, it was a less emotional depression.
I remember making bad decisions, like getting married. I remember that there were good times...but, fewer good than hurtful. I remember daydreaming to get away from who and where I was. Daydreaming to fall asleep at night, everynight.
I remember complaining about my life, my lack thereof...complaining of the hurtful things he said...but, it took me a long time to realize I allowed myself to be 'there'. I made the choice to marry, to stay. Even when it was crystal clear, I made choices.
It really doesn't matter what we 'might' or might not remember tomorrow...it is getting through today that is paramount.
