Sorry about your situation. I dont feel like I have the authority to give advice. After all, the world is full of advice. What I have written here is from experience.

I will write though, I have a friend that just divorced her husband. Before she did so, she started seeing a therapist for support and to ensure that this was the right decision. The therapist helped her sort through her feelings and her thoughts to arrive to this decision. Even after the divorce she still sees the therapist for support and to help to stay on the right track (i.e. the divorce was the right decision for you and where to go from here).

Something to think about. If you do go the therapist route remember if you are not comfortable with one therapist then try another!
