I think the contract is a good idea just in the fact that there is a written record of expectations... on both sides... it should not be one sided. That of course won't guarantee someone's behavior but will keep things in check when one or the other says I never said I would do that. Keeps things from escalating to a "did not" or "did too" type of thing.

Wasfunonce asked for experiences or red flags and that was Bluestar's experience. Doesn't mean it will work for everyone and it is good to hear from all sides on this.
