Hmmm, maybe it isn't you bf you should be thinking of...or his future. But, yourself? Are you talking to a therapist? I hope so, because we all have issues we really need to deal with...and often they are left behind while we push everything on to the 'diagnosed' depressed partner...before continuing with this relationship you should consider how he and others you have dated treated you, how you were treated all through life, and why there seems so much negative aggression there?
How much of what we get and give are our own mixed signals from our own issues, button pressing, etc. There are a lot of things going on within the relationship of self as well as with the relationship between you and he...talk to a therapist.
