I saw a psychologist by myself the last time my partner was really depressed and it helped soooo much. She was very positive, remained objective and never once judged me. She worked with me and helped me to discover how I could stop contributing to the problems my partner was having. She focused on helping me find myself again. She reminded me of what I was responsible and not responsible for.

A good therapist will have patience with your tears, be non-judgemental of your situation and decisions. A good therapist will let you vent and help you find practical ways of dealing and coping with the situation whether your partner is with you or not, or getting counselling or not. You may not know what way to go now but they will help you find your direction and help you find the strength and tools for your journey.
