I've got a new one, which seems to be working out - gardening.
I've found it so rewarding over the last few weeks - something I can put a lot of effort into, which (unlike work) can show tangible benefits.
I'm growing herbs and vegetables - being able to cook with ingredients you have grown yourself is a real sense of achievement, and is a skill that can only develop. It's also something you can share with many others.
I've also found that it is an activity that I can engage in whilst I'm still struggling with anxiety, and having difficulty getting out there and meeting new people.
Finally, I can gauge my moods by whether I have enthusiasm for gardening, tending my veg, watering etc. Once I stop doing the regular things I know need doing, then I know that something's wrong, and I need to check in on myself!
It also gets me out of the house on a sunny day, doing something physical.
I'd live to hear of anyone else who has tried this, and their experiences.
