They are selfish, but considering how I feel when I don't feel good, I can understand the selfish behavior.


Yeah...but I don't get the feeling that is quite what usedtobeanyear is really looking for, not entirely.

I'm betting that what he would really like to hear, periodically, is this:

"I appreciate you being as ( ) as you have been".

Or this:

"I appreciate you."

Well, if that's not hizzer habit prior to becoming depressed, don't look for it whilst. Some people DO make a point and habit of thanking people for their efforts, even when they feel really, really cr@ppy. At least it is noticed and noted. Others, don't.

So I think you already know what you are likely to receive. More of the same, but amplified.
