As one of the other guys on this message board (we are in the minority as most of the spouses on here tend to be female) I can relate to you guys. A couple questions to consider to what can be at play in your wives (speaking from my own experiences)
Do either of your wives have PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome)
This is an auto-immune illness that manifests itself in many different ways
Ovarian Cysts and endemetriosis
Irregular Periods, either where they don't get them or they get long and heavy ones (in the case of my wife, she could be on them for weeks, heavy bleeding, then off for a week or two, then back again)
And it can also cause other related health issues (including depression)
It is based on their bodies being insulin resistant so they way to treat it is medication, exercise, and diet...
Also, do either of your wives have vitamin d issues?
Because of some of the physical symptoms my wife has experienced in the last year or so, she finally started getting tested for several things...it was discovered that she had a big vitamin d deficiency...how big, I don't know since she stopped sharing those type of things with me but having seen her prescription for 50000 IU of Vitamin D and that being the max amount prescribed, I am assuming it is pretty large deficiency given that some alien being now possesses my wife's mind and body.
Anyways, in addition to causing other health related issues, Vitamin D can also cause depression as it acts more like a hormone than a vitamin and affects the serotonin levels in the brain.
Serotonin levels affect cognitive abilities and yes, you guessed it, moods.
So my wife has a Vitamin D issue, PCOS issues, and a history of not coping well with stress (and we have had plenty in the last year) but refuses to acknowledge that depression is at play here.
OK, I guess her body can just defy science and the odds.
Anyway...as the other husbands on this message board I thought I would pass that bit of info along...might be worth looking into, assuming your wive's would have an open mind to it.
My wife started both prescriptions after our separation a few months back and within 2 weeks slowly returned back toward normal for her...we eventually got back together about a month after she started the meds...but of course she then quit them and within a month of being back together we have returned to a crappy place and what may soon be our end. And yet my wife refuses to acknowledge that the medications helped enough with her moods to reconnect.
Can't argue with her so I don't even try anymore
Hope some of my info may be helpful for you guys...good luck
