I just wanted to put this out here because this did work for me.. (well, somewhat)..
Initialy a psyc doc diagnosed me aas being Bipoler and put me on Welbutrin.. It wasn't worth a +@$+.. and each week he would have me come ito his office for 1/2 hour ask me ho I felt, and tell me it takes timefor the meds to work Then,... I was sent to his wife who works in the same office as a Phycologist and spend 1/2 hour with her (double billing). After a few months of this I was not feeling better and spending a fortune to have them ask me how I felt, so I stopped going to them.. I didn't like either of them and it seemd as they were not even interested in helping me.. My GP doc put me on Seroquel and after a month of feeling like I was in a fog, I did get used to the meds and felt a little better.. He told me to take before bedtime, and I slept like a baby.. Although this did help me a little, I still was always drained of energy, could not focus on much of anything, and continued to have periodic deep depression periods from time to time. My daughter who is a nurse, also suffered from depression with much the same symptoms as me. She suggested I see her psyc doc and told me that he suspected her to have ADHD and along with depression meds, put her on Ritalin! She told me that it was terrific and that she could now focus on her work and had little depression.. So I went to him and he felt it may have been genetic, having not one but two daughters suffering from the same symptoms.. He put me on Ritilin, and YES it worked! I was now able to get up in the morning and actually look forward to going to work.. I am much more focused and get a heck of a lot more work done..
He said that lately they are discoverng many adults with ADHD and it is amazing how so many actually became successful in their field without being treated.. Years ago, there was no such thing as ADHD, if you did not perform well in school you were called lazy and told to try harder.. The Ritilin has made a big difference in my life and I hope that possibly this may help others..
