I can't believe the year has rolled around to the holiday season once again. Just to update everyone, my wife is on a new med that seems to be helping. She started at one dose and it did not seem to be helping, so the doctor doubled the dosage. The higher dose seems to help, but I worry because she has become so much more active. I think its a side effect of the new meds, but she is a bundle of energy all day and rarely hungry. She has lost 25 lbs since the change in her meds. She gets up extra early and goes in to work, then stays late. She says there is so much to do and to get caught up on. Her job just changed, so I assume this is the truth. She comes home and has to be busy all evening. Once she goes to bed, she is asleep as soon as her head touches the pillow. Normally if she has this much energy, it would be the high before a crash, but this time I am not sure. It has lasted much longer than a normal high. She has had a few mini crashes, but mostly just for an hour or two and then she is back super busy or goes to bed early.

It is sad to say but I've dealt with Depression in our marriage for so long, I can't stop looking for it to return. I hope this med will get/keep it under control and she will keep taking it. I am so use to walking on egg shells, I don't know how to stop. Maybe this is the new normal in my life. I just need to learn to deal with an active spouse. It is such a change that I am having trouble adjusting or accepting the change. I guess I need to just relax and adjust. The holidays will be here soon and that will be the real test.

Best wishes to all.
