Erin, I know I'm late weighing in on this - but if it gives you closure, good for you! I'm a big fan of getting things out of my head and on paper, it always makes me feel better. And if sending it was important to you, then it was the right thing to do - I also tend to believe that it's good for our dso's to hear how we feel somehow, even if it takes them a long time to register it, and even if we never know.
