An interesting topic, it is hard to draw any meaningful conclusion without a huge study and compiled data.

It could be that the depression rate among females is indeed 3 times higher, but that the male fallouters are too darn proud+stubborn to seek help and post their stories on this board?  I was certainly reluctant to seek support from here at first.  I am a proud basterd and have always tried to solve my problems head on and usually on my own.  But D is so much above and beyond the usual challenges we face in day-to-day life.  It is an unsolvable problem, as I found out.  My xDSO's actions were so atrocious that I had to seek support here, I was losing myself to the pain and anguish of the fallout.

I am so glad that I did.  The fallout of D was so much bigger than me, I could not have possibly taken it on alone and survived.  Wonderful people like Erin68 helped me carry on and am grateful for every kind word said on this site.  Just knowing that I was not alone is a powerful and comforting revelation.  Anyone brave enough to post their story here is making great strides toward recovery.
