I agree with Erin... The only path we can control is only our own. This goes against all human instincts and especially the instincts of love. When our loved ones are hurting, we want to be right there to comfort them and tell them that we love them and will be here for them. This illness however goes against all instincts. The only thing you can do even though it might seem selfish and counter intuitive is to now devote all your focus on you. Take care of you and invest in what will promote your growth. I am not saying moving on necessarily and especially i wouldn't recommend trying to move on sooner than you are ready. I am saying turning all the negative energy into self healing energy. You know that dance class that you've always wanted to take but didnt have time, well this is that time...etc. Be selfish with your time and energy for now, invest it wisely on yourself, it will pay off big time in the future.
