In a perfect world, there would be a medal for anyone that didn't choke the crap out of someone with depression. Included with that medal would be a parade, a huge awards ceremony and thousands of people waiting in line to shake your hand.

Since the world isn't perfect, the solution to the sense of betrayal, constant belittlement and absence of acknowledgment is not taking it personally, focusing on something else and protecting yourself from the ravages of fallout. All your efforts, times of turmoil, sleepless nights, sadness, anger and confusion may be rewarded with a simple, unbelievable statement such as: "I don't remember that" and left as such. That's meager rations in the feast of life and can lead to terrible emotional reactions.

It all starts to get better when you realize you're in the driver's seat and the destination is yours to decide. Made the decision, push on the accelerator and enjoy the journey. smiley: smile
