Wow, so sorry you are back to this now. But I guess it's good your husband is willing to take meds and go to counseling even if it not effective. So he doesn't or isn't able to use the therapy in real life? Have you or he considered an inpatient mental health care? Yeah, being committed? It might sound extreme but it did wonders for my husband. In inpatient care they control the environment- meaning patients are removed from daily stresser and outside pressures so the patient has time to reflect and simply focus on their illness. Therapy session exercises are done verbally both in group and individual sessions. My husband was also encouraged to see and be around others who had similar troubles must as we bond together here.
