great to see you here and well done for being so supportive of your girlfriend in this time.

Firstly I would like to ask is your girlfriend on medication? Is she seeing anyone or does she have counselling? I would hope that with depression being a part of her life for this time that she does have one of both of these things in place. This would help ensure that she has a support to go to when depression starts to rear its head.

If she does not and you are the only support, then really it still falls in the unmanaged category potentially.

From my own perspective, once things start to improve with the right medical help, this is where talk therapy can really assist. You are able to bring up issues like this and both parties can discuss it carefully with a counsellor. The counsellor as a third party can help highlight thought patterns that are not quite right or a bit skewed or highlight better ways to communicate your needs to each other. This will enable you both to grow closer rather than having these worries outside your relationship.

Would you consider suggesting something like this to her now?
