I sent a long letter to my ex, explaining why he had descended into self-hate and how the practice of Mindfulness can help him recover some self-love. I also copied several pages from a book that explains how to mindfully meditate to overcome depression. I ended the letter saying: "Remember that SSRIs are just psychotropic mood enhancers that should be used only for kickstarting change. For a permanent solution to anxiety, intrusive thoughts, negative self-talk, poor coping skills, attachment to the past, loss of self-love, you need meditation/therapy. "
A week ago I sent him a long letter about anxiety and how he should try to deal with it.
I don't expect any reply and don't want one either. I feel better when I contact him and give him information that he should know, that's why I am doing it.
That said, have any of your exes / current Ds tried mindfulness meditation to prevent another depressive episode?I hear great things about it. http://www.bbc.com/news/health-32380183
