I am curious if any of the Depression Sufferers have read Anne Sheffield's book (Depression Fallout). If yes, did the book help you understand how depression affects your non-depressed spouse/partner? Or is that not possible? My husband is being treated for major depression. The medication has helped a lot, but he still seems fairly apathetic towards our relationship. He also doesn't seem to acknowledge the terrible things that he said to me during his major depressive episode -- or at least he discredits how difficult it was for me. I'm wondering if reading Anne Sheffield's book would help him understand my experience. (I still love him very much and am 100% supportive of him as he fights this incredibly awful disease that is nobody's fault!)
Thanks for any input. Also, thank you for sharing your experiences on this website. For those of us who love and are trying to understand someone who suffers from depression, your feedback is priceless.
